The Sims

The Sims originally designed as a game about architecture is now played by many even those who play no other games due its uniquely social gaming style. Because of this it is known to gamers and non gamers alike, and so has been almost constantly in the charts since its release in 2000, angering those who think it does not deserve its great popularity. The many expansion packs (listed below) of decreasing quality are one of the objections more serious gamers have, as they do not exist as very good or necessary additions to the game but just an easy way to make money. Sadly the recently released Sims 2 has already gone this way with its first expansion pack, The Sims: University
