Tomb Raider 3 Save Games

Here you can get my save games for TR3. Please note that these saves are all at the end of the level, in the guide to the levels it will state them as being for the level after. Please keep this in mind when loading the save games, as you will usually have to walk a few steps forward to end the level and wait for the next one to load.

I have tried to make these saves the best possble by playing carefully so in these saves:

  • All (or almost all) secrets have been obtained, so you can get to the secret level.
  • Very few medi packs have been used so you shouldn't run out.
  • Most kills have been performed with pistols so there will be alot of ammo left.

How to use the levels

  • Click on the link above you require and save them to somewhere you can find (e.g on your desktop).
  • If you use windows ME/XP, right click on the file and then click extract all.
  • If not you will need an extracting utility such as www.winzip.com.
  • Once the flies are extracted and saved you will need to move them to you TR folder.
  • Browse to the TR3 folder in Windows Explorer, the default path for this is "C:\Program Files\Core Design\Tomb Raider III"
  • First back up your own saves:
    • create a new folder in that directory.
    • Highlight all the files with names starting with savegame.
    • Click edit then copy along the top.
    • Go to the new folder and click edit then paste, your saves should appear.
  • Now go back to where you put the downloaded savegames.
  • Highlight the ones you want (ctrl + click to highlight seperate ones).
  • Click edit and copy along the top.
  • Go back to the TR3 folder.
  • Click edit and paste.
  • Now start TR3 and the new saves should be there.

  • India Levels
    1. Jungle - click new game
    2. Temple Ruins - pack 2 save no. 7
    3. The River Ganges - I'm afraid I don't have a save for this level yet
    4. Caves of Kaliya - pack 1 save no. 13
  • Chose where to go - pack 1 save no. 12
  • Nevada Levels
    1. Nevada Desert - pack 1 save no. 12
    2. High Security Compound - pack 1 save no. 11
    3. Area 51Jungle - pack 1 save no. 10
  • South Pacific Levels
    1. Coastal Village - pack 1 save no. 12 (if you have not done the nevada levels yet)
