Missions

7. All Shook Up

  • Get 2,000 thrill seekers to visit before the others do. - thrill seekers are mothers, fathers, boys, girls, single guys, single girls, skater dudes and skater chicks. - build a good complex copying what the others do helps. When you want to expand I recommend the smaller lot as few people visit the very large lot.
  • By the end of day five make a $1,000 daily profit from 'activity' sales, there are: Roller Coasters, Discos, Clubs, Nightclubs, Ballrooms, Exclusive Nightclubs, Themed Rides, Wave Pools, Swimming pools, Health Spas, Gyms and arcades.
  • Build a rollercoaster by the end of day 9. - I started with the middle sized lot so I had enough space for this, I built it on day 3 which meant I had less competition so easily made the 75 sales, this also makes the other objectives easier.
  • OPTIONAL - Jeol Delvlin comes to town on day 2, can you make him happy for $9,000 and a crowd of fans. He likes: Themed Rides, Arcades, Soda Bars, Fast Food Restaurants, Magic Shows, Magic Shops, Medium or large hotels.
  • OPTIONAL - 150 pool pass sales by the end of day 3 for a $1,000 bonus.
  • In the 24 hours after building your roller coaster make 75 sales from it.
  • OPTIONAL - Health and Safety Executives - $600 fine for any building at 0% health and if there are no bins there will be a $500 fine.
  • OPTIONAL - Samantha Banks is coming on day 6, can you make her happy for $2,000, she likes: Gyms, Women's Clothing, Roller Coasters, Soda Bars, Wheels of Fortune, Sun Loungers, Medium or Large hotels.

Some helpful hints from Cassiopia

This level was SOOOO hard!!! 5 days it took me but in the end I cracked it. First, go into Sandbox mode and make a medium sized casino of the theme that you're going to use in this level. Save this casino by clicking on the casino floor, and on the right hand side of the info bar, you will see a disk. Save it with whatever name you'll remember, including medium somewhere in the name. Now do the same in the same theme with a small casino.

Go back to the campaign mode, choose the medium sized lot, and build a head office, mechanics dept, and a medium hotel somewhere on the right hand side of the lot. (More people to start with on that side). Prepare to place the casino, so if it will need more than one entrance/exit, run off cheap paths from those areas to the main paths.

Place your themed ride. (You will need to keep it fixed, so calling mechanics to it before it breaks down).

When you are ready to place your casino, choose which size you are going to use. I used a pre-made small one, which was ample for this scenario to start with. By choosing a pre-made one, you may go slightly into overdraft - don't worry, you'll quickly make it back if you have some high roller bet ranges on the tables!

What's important at this stage is the themed ride. I found by the people only having one activity venue, they all went there so I could put the price up. By day four I'd made the 1,000 profit requirement.

As your money builds up, build more entertainment venues, food etc (and don't forget those toilets!), but only have the themed ride until you've met the 1,000 requirement. Once you have, build your rollercoaster (you should still have quite a few people on your lot compared to your competitors, so now is the best time).

As soon as you've built it and got the 75 people requirement, drop the price on it as low as you can get it. I also saved right before I placed the rollercoaster, so if I failed this requirement I didn't have to start from the beginning again.

At this stage of the level it should be fairly easy to get 75 visitors, don't forget to reset the price afterwards though! Once done, you just need the 2,000 visitors. Probably one of the other competitors by now is ahead of you. Don't panic. Just keep expanding on your lot, building stuff they'll want to see. Don't forget the single guys and girls! I found the shark pool quite popular, and didn't bother with the observation deck as I just didn't want to take up valuable space with a large hotel.

Don't panic if you're behind! There will be a natural disaster which will even the playing field, and as long as your lot is interesting and pretty, with good lighting, you should win. Keep saving while things look good too - that way you can always start from that point again! I did expand out onto the smallest sized lot at one point and kept building up that one too, it helped my numbers for sure!
